Photographs & Memories - Dmitry Bagrov: Experiencing London fog

Entering the travel sector through the trade entrance, our next Memory Maker was born in the Ukraine, grew up in Russia and moved to the UK to grow one of the largest and most formidable global consultancy groups.

Hear Dmitry Bagrov, the Managing Director of DataArt UK share his travel tales, as our memory maker reflects on his career in the technology, travel and hospitality sector and the memories he’s made on his journeys. Dmitry has grown Data Art’s London office from a skeleton presence to a full technology consultancy with 30 senior staff who manage teams that collectively exceed 500 people. He has over 20 years of experience in digital transformation across multiple industries including travel. As we discover, he is passionate about digital innovation, entrepreneurship and Star Wars.

From working as an email translator in an internet cafe to delivering digital transformation across multiple industries, Dmitry reminisces on catching office WiFi hanging out of his apartment window and experiencing real London fog.

In this episode, Dmitry talks about his love for British culture and mannerisms, through the book Watching the English, by Kate Fox, and why, when it comes to travel -  “There is no right time, the right time is now.”

In the new Photographs & Memories series, our guests - Memory Makers - choose three photographs and a treasured souvenir recalling places and people from their travels. It’s an intimate look at the moments important to them, whether personally or professionally. The items transport the Memory Maker on a journey back in time, giving them the chance to reflect on the significance of life’s moments and the impact on themselves and the world around them. We hope it’s a journey you enjoy.
